Terms & Conditions

Last revised: 14 June 2026

These terms apply to services provided by ClimbSmart Plumbing & Electrical Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 202201031547 (1478529-D)) and to your use of climbsmart.my. Booking a job with us means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to hide things — if any clause is unclear, ask before the job starts.

1. Quotes

Every job receives a written quote (on paper, WhatsApp or email) before work begins. The quote lists parts, labour and any access work separately, and holds for 14 days. If opening up reveals additional damage, work pauses and a revised quote is issued for your approval — we do not proceed on verbal assumptions.

2. Inspection fees

A standard inspection visit within Cheras is RM60, quoted by distance elsewhere in the Klang Valley. The inspection fee is waived in full when you proceed with the quoted work. If you decline the quote, only the inspection fee is payable.

3. Scheduling and access

Appointment windows are two hours wide. We need an adult present at the property and safe access to the work area, distribution board and water shut-off. If we arrive and cannot access the work area, the visit is charged as an inspection.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion, by cash, bank transfer, or DuitNow QR. Jobs above RM2,000 (rewiring, re-piping, renovation packages) are staged: 40% deposit on parts order, balance on completion. We do not take payment before a quote is accepted.

5. Workmanship warranty

Repairs carry a 90-day workmanship warranty; new installations carry 12 months. The warranty covers our workmanship, and manufacturer warranties cover parts. It does not cover damage from misuse, third-party alterations, blockages caused by new material entering the line, or faults in sections of the system we did not work on. Warranty periods are stated on your invoice; keep it.

6. Our liability

We carry public liability insurance and take responsibility for damage our technicians cause. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the job, except where Malaysian law does not permit such a limit. We are not liable for pre-existing defects we did not create, or for consequential losses such as lost rental income.

7. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own the property or have the owner's authority to commission work, and that you will inform us of known hazards (asbestos ceilings, buried cables, unpermitted modifications) before work starts.

8. Cancellations

Bookings may be cancelled or moved free of charge up to 4 hours before the appointment window. Later cancellations may incur the inspection fee where the crew is already en route. Refunds are handled under our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Website content

Guides and articles on this site are general information, not advice for your specific installation. Electrical regulations in Malaysia require certain work to be carried out by registered persons — do not use our content as a substitute for a licensed inspection.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. We will always attempt to resolve a complaint directly first: [email protected].
