Built on one rule: quote first, always
ClimbSmart exists because our founder got burned by a repair bill — and decided the industry could do better.
From one van to twelve technicians
In 2018, Wei Kang Loh — a wireman with a decade on commercial sites — paid a contractor RM1,400 for a leak repair quoted "around two hundred". The extra items appeared only after the wall was open. He decided that if he ever ran his own outfit, the customer would sign off the price before the hammer swung.
That outfit became ClimbSmart Plumbing & Electrical Sdn Bhd, started with a single second-hand van and a rented lot in Taman Segar, Cheras. The plumbing side came a year later when Wei Kang partnered with Hafiz Ramlan, a SPAN-compliant plumber who shared the same allergy to vague invoices.
Today twelve technicians run scheduled routes across the Klang Valley. The rule has never changed: every job, from a RM80 tap swap to a full house rewire, gets a written fixed quote approved by the customer before work begins.
Why one company for two trades
Half of the calls we get involve both water and electricity — heaters, pumps, kitchen renovations, ceiling leaks over light fittings. Splitting that between two contractors doubles your cost and leaves each side blaming the other. Under one roof, one technician team owns the whole problem and the warranty covers the whole fix.
What we promise on every job
- A fixed, itemised quote before work starts — no "we'll see how it goes"
- Licensed people: ST-registered wiremen, SPAN-compliant plumbing practice
- Clean sites: dust sheets, shoe covers, debris removed
- Warranty in writing on the invoice: 90 days on repairs, 12 months on installations
- A straight answer when repair is not worth it and replacement is cheaper
